Freelancing can be a lucrative and surprisingly stable source of income – if you know the tricks of the trade.

The workshop called, “Stepchild No more: Becoming a Successful Freelancer,” reveals those tricks and much more. One of the three panelists, freelancer Andrea Collier, gave a little preview of what to expect to learn at the workshop Thursday 11 am - 12:30 pm:

1. How to keep an eye out for new opportunities to put your work out there
2. How to organize, freelancer style
3. How to brand yourself, your niche and your style
4. How to apply technology and multimedia skills to freelancing work
5. Multi-purposing your story: how to write one story and get paid multiple times
